Hello yarny friend!

It's been unseasonably warm here, and I managed to get out into the allotment in a t-shirt to plant some sweet peas and garden peas. Our rhubarb has gone bananas, and the potatoes and onions are all looking pretty good. Sadly, so is the grass, which has taken over a bit. Any hints or tips for controlling unruly tussocks gladly received!
It was glorious weather at Wonderwool Wales as well, which happened at the end of April. It was a fantastic weekend, and so many products went down well, so I'm sharing what was popular, as I've refreshed the stock for lots of it.
I've also got a delightful new limited edition spindle and some handy new spinning tools. First up, though - the yarn!

Cocoon Yarn - Alpaca/Silk/Linen

Perfect for light summer garments and shawls

This was an absolute winner at Wonderwool, and I'm not surprised. It's soft, drapey, dyes up like a dream and once you've squished it, you'll be in love. I've added some fresh colours for summer, and I'll be bringing it to The Big Flock at the end of May. If you can't wait until them, go and check out what's available! These are just three of the colours on offer.

Spindle news!

First up, I've set it up so that if you buy three or more spindles at a time, a 15% discount will automatically be applied at checkout. Perfect if you want to buy them as gifts for your spinning friends (as just as extra spindles for your own stash).
And now for the limited edition reveal... here is this month's limited edition spindle, inspired by the bluebells that are everywhere at the moment. Pictured are the Persian and Kitty sizes, but all sizes are available at time of writing! They are a mix of bright blue and pale purple, with a bright lime green shaft. They're an absolute joy.

Fresh Fibre Colourways

I've been dyeing up a few new colourways, because who doesn't love a bit of something fresh and fun? Two of them are still in the pots at the moment, and I will reveal them soon, but I'm really happy to let you know that my favourite BFL/Silk base is back in stock, and I've got a new colour which makes the unbelievable sheen on this fibre sing. I've also got a lovely, soft and calming colourway on BFL/Mohair/Silk. Introducing Meet Me in the Woods and Coffee and Cake...

Spinners' Tools Galore!

I've been busy with my 3D printer, which is probably my favourite purchase of the last five years, and I'm really happy to say I now have available a whole range of rather spiffy tools for spinners. Behold....

Cat's Paw Diz

3D-Printed Yarn Plying Tool - Cat & Sparrow

Ring Distaff – 3D-printed in the UK

Modular Niddy Noddy with Extender - 3D Printed by Cat & Sparrow

3D-Printing and the Environment

I take very great care over which products I use and sell, and how they impact the environment. Quite a few people have asked me about my 3D prints, because obviously, people don't want to add more plastic into their lives than is necessary. If you want to know more about the materials I use, and the steps I take to reduce my impact, check out this blog post. And if you'd like to ask me anything directly, just reply to this email.
I've got one last thing to show you before I let you go and get on with your day... check out these little cuties! I'm wearing a pair of the mixed studs (lime green) right now, and I love them.

3D-Printed Knit/Crochet Earrings

Have a wonderful week, and if I don't see you at Big Flock, I'll update you with more lovely fibre, yarn and spinning goodness next month!
Happy yarning,
Rachael
